What Overdrive does
Overdrive turns your weapon into a multi-directional battery. You fire four additional extended diagonal projectiles that reach toward the screen corners, with a boosted fire rate.
The result is a barrage that covers almost the entire screen.
How to use Overdrive
- Use it when enemies are spread wide, since the diagonal shots reach the corners.
- It's strongest when you can keep moving and still hit things on both sides.
- Pair it with a defensive power so you can keep the barrage going.
Upgrading Overdrive
You can make any power last longer by spending Fuel Cells on it. The first extra second costs 1 Fuel Cell, the second costs 2, and so on up to 5 Fuel Cells per second, which is where the price stays after that. You can also unlock Overdrive before level 15 by spending 8 Fuel Cells.
